  1. Do you use plastic bowls? My Ridgeback had "fadey nose syndrome" and the vet told me it was an allergic reaction to the plastic bowls. No more plastic, no more fadey nose.
  2. Funny how we ended up in oppasit cornerz ov da country! Mayb sumday we can meet in da middle, which I guess wud be KS or OK? U sound like me cuz I'll eat just about anything! Do I hafta look at greyhound-data.com to see yur pictur? Yur mom needz a siggie! Hey you guys! I am your half sister. My Daddy was Kiowa Sweet Trey, too. Glad you are feeling better Lyca. Love from your sissie in My Ami, Wendy
  3. I hope Lyca is feeling better today. Loving licks from her sister from annuder mudder, Wendy
  4. Thanks for the tip. This looks like a must-have for the first aid kit.
  5. Wendy's emissions peeled all the paint off the walls the first couple of months. Then we switched to a (mostly) grain-free diet and added Fotiflora to her meals once daily. Now, we rarely get a toot.
  6. Hw will always be with you, Leslie. Thank you for sharing Ryce with us. Gentle hugs from Irene and Wendy,
  7. Thank you for sharing your little girl with us. Her pictures always made me smile. Adios preciosa.
  8. Precious girl. Rest now. You are loved.
  9. That's comforting! My friend shared the same concern, she has been using it on her bouncy boy and has seen no change in him at all except that he is sprouting hairs where there was no hair before. That's it exactly...I don't want to sedate that "bounce" factor! Thank you!
  10. O.K. Thanks for the feedback. My worry is that the melatonin will have a sedative effect and I like my girl's energy level just as it is. My only purpose, if I decide to use it, would be to improve her coat.
  11. Those of you who have been giving your hounds melatonin for hair growth...have you noticed any unwanted side effects? Changes is behavior, personality, energy levels, etc.? Please share your observations.
  12. Wow! Great results. Would you mind sharing the dosage? Are you going to give the melatonin to Carl for life? And, did you notice any undesireable side effects? Carl, you are beeutimous with or without furs!
  13. Usually, these little 'cigarette burn' scars are from puppy nails when they're all playing together as youngsters, so I've been told. Aaah, o.k. That makes me feel much better. Thanks you!
  14. Hunh...Wendy has several small, roundish scars that look like burns. I often wondered if she had been burned by a cigarette. Don't know if finding out the electrified rail might be responsible makes me feel better or not.
  15. Interesting gizmo. My "toothbrush" of choice is a piece of old hosiery wrapped around my index finger and a dab of doggie toothpaste.
  16. Hello from Miami! Wendy is sensitive to thunder and lightning, fireworks, etc. What has worked well with her is giving high value treats each time there is a "boom" and speaking to her in a high-pitched, happy voice. This seems to reassure her that everything's o.k.
  17. You are so very brave and strong. My heart breaks for you...so many obstacles, so much pain. I wish there was something I could do to help you.
  18. I wonder if the strenuous exercise and the stress of racing has anything to do with it? P.S. How are you and BooBoo doing today? We are keeping you close.
  19. There are no words... May the time you have together be peaceful.
  20. I am with you as you grieve.
  21. TOO DAMN MANY! Scares the living crap outta me. Every limp, every whimper, every skipped meal...it's lile waiting for a gun to fire.
  22. God send us angels...sometimes they have skin on...sometimes they are furry and have four legs. Gentle hugs to all those who are grieving.
