  2. How shocking for you all I'm sure she will adjust even better than you think right now. There is a site that I know of which is UK based and dedicated to blind dogs. I'll find the link and post it here.

I'm never giving up on Haggis
  4. You earned your wings Penny, thats for sure This was so painful to read but so beautifully written. I am so sorry for your loss
  5. I too have been thinking of Penny and her Mum. I hope nobody minds me saying but I don't personally think that anyones PM should be posted here without there permission. The general gist is OK to post but I just don't feel comfortable with someones words which they have sent by private message, being posted without their knowledge. No offence intended.
  6. I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad
  7. I'm so glad she ate a burger and that she's coming home!! That's great! As others have said, home may be the very thing that she needs.
  8. She sounds like she's really doing well so far I said this to another new amputee Mum recently - they do loose a bit of themselves with this surgery (maybe a bit of the old character or maybe the old way of walking) ...but they grow new, extra fabulous things instead and these things more than make up for the old bits which have gone The other shoe thing. Well. I'd prepare yourself for YOU feeling somewhat down over the next few days or so. But then you'll be back again and ready to move forward, along with Jamaica Edit - she will run Really, she'll run as she may well find that easier than actually walking.
  9. I am so sorry Rhonda Bodie, you put up a very brave fight and your gift to OCU will become your very special legacy

    Gumby

I'm really sorry I loved looking at Gumby pics. She'll be very sadly missed by many
  11. I'm glad to hear that she finally ate something! I understand your frustration. I just wish I had some new ideas for you.
  12. Wishing peace and comfort for both of you
  13. I'm glad to hear that the surgery is done and that she's doing fine I had a bit of a 'thing' about the leg too. I know they sent part of the affected bone area for biopsy in Darcy's case and I suppose the..um...rest of the limb goes to a special medical incinerator. I don't know for sure because I never asked but this is what I suspect happens.
