    I sure hope that isn't why Idol died, Irene. Two of my three had softer stools after taking their first dose of Heartgard, but no diarrhea - thank goodness.

    After 8 years of dealing with dealing with a happy tail that was like a whip, we finally had Chica's tail docked this past Monday - short as a Dobie. I have been cleaning up blood from the walls, cabinets, floor, etc. for the last six days and have had it. I wanted to do it years ago and the vets didn't really want to. She came through the surgery fine and all is well.

    Were you using the original Joint Health or the new formula with Boswilla? My guys wouldn't touch the stuff when they came out with the new formula so now they have both. I think the Joint Health Advanced has the Boswilla in it.

    Unless you have really large greyhounds, 1-1/2 cups at each meal should be sufficient.

    I have been using the Joint Health and Fresh Factors for years, but my dogs would not touch the Advanced (new formula) Joint Health. The old combo seems to work just fine.

    When my boy had LS, he would go outside could not feel that he had to poop all the time. He would come in the house and then poop as soon as he got inside, which made him feel terrible. This boy never peed or pooped in my house in all the years I had him until his LS got so bad. Very sad. She has a lot going on for a 15-year old. :-(

    I use Springtime Fresh Factors and original Joint Health (not the formula with Boswilia, which they won't take)for all of mine. I also give them a human brand multi-vitamin every day (without iron) and they get 1200 mg of Fish Oil (human capsules) twice a day. Seems to work well for my pack.

    I had inquired about a Vet near Tega Cay, SC and sent an e-mail message to Julie Reck, DVM in Fort Mill, SC www.vmcfortmill.com SHE responded to me personally that her practice is greyhound savvy and she has several clients with greyhounds and managed to connect them all so they get together socially and to walk their dogs, etc. Turns out my girlfriend's sister uses Dr. Reck.

    My granddog had it and he eats Blue Buffalo low fat/weight management and has been fine.
