I had been giving mine the Joint Health and Fresh Factors but he will no longer eat them. Used to be able to just toss them in his food.

I had one boy who threw up bile if he had to go out to make and he was holding it in. Had nothing to do with him being hungry.

My boy stopped eating it a week or so ago. I switched him back to Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Venison, which he loves, but now has large poops again. Also don't like the price of the NB. :-)

Just wanted to recommend a site where I get Moose, Elk and Deer antlers that are from the USA and properly cleaned before they are sold. My Saluki loves to chew on them and has the cleanest teeth and best gums around. If only I could get my grey to chew. She is very reasonably priced. Dodge has had one for several years. It hasn't grown and it doesn't bother him, so the vet is just leaving it alone. If and when it has to be removed, I know they will have to sedate him.

Irene, you don't need a script for Frontline. You can get it anywhere. I order most of my heartworm meds from KVVetSupply or Omaha Vaccine. They seem to be the most reasonable. My Vet has never hesitated to give me an RX for anything and when I needed blood pressure and kidney disease meds for Chica, Walmart was the cheapest. The Internist at the specialty care center even showed me a website where I can check prices for meds (human and animal) and download discount coupons for many drugs.

My boy had LS and was on everything, including Previcox until the end. No problems with the Previcox, which I think is much easier on their stomachs.

He is gorgeous -- but I'm partial to the black ones.

She is beautiful, Beth and I love her name. Congratulations. Happy to hear she's a social greyhound too. When I adopted my girl, she looked absolutely black, but within a month she became this gorgeous red brindle (I guess it was a better diet, etc). If Cocoa had a "happy tail", better that it was taken care of now. Chica had one and we finally had it docked after 8 years. Each time it opened, it looked like a massacre had happened at our house and cleaning it up was a trip.

I get mine at CVS for us and the dogs since it's usually BOGO. They get 1200 mg twice a day - same as we get.

Why toast instead of regular plain bread? My girl also has kidney disease and it's hard to keep any weight on her.

My girl has always been a picky eater. She is 12-1/2 and now is in the beginning stages of kidney disease and has high blood pressure. She stopped eating kibble over a month ago and nothing I could do would entice her, even putting high valued food mixed in with it. The only thing she will now eat is canned food with gravy. Will no longer eat the canned food without gravy. I just keep giving her whatever she likes so that she will eat and not lose any more weight. She gets lots of extra treats when the others get theirs and she's happy. Just have to go with the flow.
