  1. Prayers for Isis. This happened to my 11-1/2 year old girl around 2 years ago and we got her to the E-vet immediately. She couldn't stand on her rear legs and by the time we got her there, she was knuckling under with her front paws. She was tested and watched all day and we had to put her down that afternoon. She was in a lot of pain and they believe she threw a clot. It was sudden and an awful experience, but at least she didn't suffer from a prolonged illness (cancer).
  2. PA, NJ and DE. I take my guys to NGAP for all of their dentals.
  3. So sorry and I hope Fast makes a quick recovery. This is my only fear when I walk my dogs. I always carry spray with me no matter where I am - just in case.
  4. Merlin is absolutely GORGEOUS. Glad he is fitting in so well. Welcome to the forum.
  5. What a beautiful grey. Congratulations and we'll wait for your "chipping" announcement in the future.
  6. I too go by the symptoms and not the numbers. My new boy's T4 was .5 and he is absolutely doing great with no symptoms; hence, no Soloxine for this one. (Yet)
  7. Does your dog eat dirt in the yard? Two of my guys were bit dirt eaters and got hookworm once and they are on Interceptor. The Vet said hookworms are in the dirt and there is nothing much you can do about it if you have dirt eaters.
  8. Prayers that you can find the cause of this latest malady with Beau.
  9. Prayers for Beau. He doesn't need this for sure.
  10. I get my Soloxine from Omaha Vaccines. www.omahavaccines.com
  11. I am so sorry for your loss. Spencer was a gorgeous boy. He will always be in your heart. Remember the good times.
  12. Wow, didn't take you long to find all of the "good" Forums, did it?
  13. I use Interceptor and I have been getting it for years from Omaha Vaccine Company. My Vet gives me an RX as needed.
  14. So sorry you had to go through all of this and then lose BooBoo too. At least she is running free at the bridge, in no pain, waiting for you. Think positive and be there to help train the foster. I'm sure it will lift your spirits.
  15. Look on page 6 of the Forum here "Breakthrough treatment for Corns".
  16. Check this out. Very promising and good results. http://www.murrayavenuerx.com/
  17. Sounds like LSS to me. My Buddy had it for three years and it just got really, really bad a few months ago. We had to let him go to the Bridge at 13 years, 2 months exactly. He was fine on Previcox (227 mg 1 x daily) and 50 mg of Tramadol twice a day. Have your Vet evaluate him and take the info from Dr. Suzanne Stack's website about LSS. It's pretty easy for the Vet to diagnose without any major tests. Good Luck.
  18. The only thing I can tell you is don't stop her from licking. Their saliva has healing properties and I know from my friend's grey who has SLO that you should allow her to lick if she wants to.
  19. Praying that Katie makes a quick, complete recovery.
  20. I tried EVERYTHING in the 10 years we had Buddy. The only thing that worked, which I found two years ago, is the Calming Collar. If I hadn't seen it, I would not have believed it, but it works for thunder, fireworks, etc. He was still afraid, but I could get him to stop pacing and lay down to get through the storm, etc. www.calmingcollar.com Good Luck.
  21. I'm soooooo happy you found Jetta at NGAP. I had been looking at her and looking at her but the inn is full. Apparently, she was waiting for you. Congratulations and good luck with Jade.
  22. Donna and Dave, so sorry to hear about Apollo. He's running free again at The Bridge.
