It sounds like Cody did her job, and will leave a spot for another wonderful Grey to be loved by you, as well. I feel I hung on to Susan too long, too, but ... we have to make the best decisions we can with the information we have. I know you have really been struggling the last few months with sweet Cody, but now she is 100% healthy running and playing at the bridge. She will always be with you and you know she had a wonderful life with you and will miss you but it's now her turn to return the favior and be your guardian angel. The heartache will slowly fade with time, try to feel comforted that you gave her a good home, she was much loved while she was here, and you did let her go free when you knew the time was right for both of you.
