Welcome back...this the first time I have been on here in quite some time

I am very sad to read this Wren was such a beauty and the bond she and Tyler had was amazing to see. Wren made being a bigger girl (as they say big boned LOL) beautiful. I feel so blessed to have known her and all your hounds. Those pictures, my oh my......miss them all so dam much. Have fun with your buddy Tyler at the Rainbow Bridge Wrenn, till we all meet again sweety you will be missed.

Oh no.... so very sorry. You gave a great life and I know Trish is grateful for that. Now Bebe is with her momma and I am sure Trish cried as she met her at the bridge, two hearts are now whole at the birdge. Thank you for loving her after she lost her first momma. Hugs to all of you.

so sorry Deanna and Brian, but you gave her a great life while she was with you. So very traggic. Rest well pretty girl. Find my brindle one eyed bridge girl Maisie and you two can run like the wind. Bridge pups Lily and Marx will be there too, give them smooches from their mommy and daddy please.

Deanna you and Brian gave her a wonderful life, you never gave up on her with her silly quirks. I was honored to have loved her and greysit the pups on a few occasions, she was such a character. I would chuckle how she would glance up the evil ceiling fan. It was obvious that she loved you both and the gaggle of greys she bonded with. I am so glad I got to see her and Wren at GIG, she looked so good to me. Thank you for giving her the best home possible. I am very sorry she had to leave you, as you know you will see her again one day. Run free sweet beautiful Symbra, I loved you little girl.

I am shocked and very sad to read of Gus's passing Ed Those of us that have been on GT for a long time remember all to well his gut wrenching story of finally being captured and most of all how you made a promise to him and kept it. I know what it feels like to say you feel as though you failed a pup. I am so sorry for your loss. I don't think many here on GT know that it was because of you and Michael McCan the Greyhound Amber Alert was born. Just think how many hounds were saved because of it. For that I thank you!

Oh Rachel, I am so very sorry. What a beautiful tribute. You are right y ou don't realize how much of your life revolves around them until they are gone What a wonderful life your pups had, thanks to you and hubby. My hear goes out to you, I understand all to well the pain/grief. We lost Lily on Fathers Day 2010 age 12 and Marx Sept. 2012 age 12. Sending Hugs to help heal your heart. Karen

This is one of those situations that just fell into place. DH and I had said that if a situation arose that 2 hounds needed a home together we would consider them. Rewind to 2 weeks ago....chatting with Petra (Little White Monster's momma ), she tells me that Nittany Greyhounds was getting in two senior girls being returned due to no fault of their own. Well, the wheels began to turn, talked to DH about them, he agreed to meet them. I filled out application. Meet the girls last Saturday and there was no doubt in my mind they were to come home with us. Toni at Nittany was wonderful. So, about the girls: Mitsie, age 9 is a white girl with brindle around her ears and some ticking. This girl is gonna be a hoot!!!! Tons of personality, affectionate and loves to play. Oh, did I mention she is a barker!!! I think she will be the yard police as well as the people police. Maisie, age 10 is a sweet one eyed brindle gril who will tell you what she wants when she wants it!!! She is smitten with hubby, he is loving it. She is more reserved but once comfortable warms up to you. Oh, yes, she is a barker as well... We are working on stairs but everything else is down pat since they were already acclamated to a home. Mitise is bonded with Maisie and will look to see where she is or go over and nudge her for reassuarnce. It is fun to watch and very interesting having a pair hounds that will share the same bed and play with one another. I thought I would have such guilt bringing hounds home so soon after Marx's passing (Sept. 2012), but it's a different feeling, a feeling of peace. ok, enough rambling, we are elated to have them and feel as though they have always been here. Welcome home sweet girls Mitsie is the white girl age 9 and Maisie is the brindle age 10

Maureen you are so right thank you for making me laugh! That certainly was one day we will all never forget! That boy hit the jackpot and was robbed of it before he could enjoy the mother load of all the deserts he nabbed! Thank you everyone for all the kind words, it's been so dam hard. I said to Guy tonight I feel like we are empty nesters now One thing that has given me comfort is that I know Marx has been around the last few days, especially Wednesday night, for that I am so very grateful.

I never thought this day would come Marx chose us to be his forever home in 2003 and there was no looking back after that! We knew he would be perfect with us and able to tolerate a very sassy/bossy female greyhound Lily. Lily had to leave us a few years ago at the age of 12 and Marx adjusted to being an only dog beautifully, I actually think he preferred it, except on walkies when he would look for Lily as a sense of comfort to walk beside. If a dog could be described as a perfect dog, Marx was it! No doubt! I could go on and on about him as all greyhound/animal lovers can about their pets. Marx today our hearts are broken, but we knew you were ready to go to the Rainbow Bridge, your job here on earth was done. You were needed elsewhere and without hesitation daddy and me did right by you sweety. Life will never be the same, but we will go on. You will always be in our hearts and soul, there will be tears and laughter, that's ok, but in the end we were blessed you choose us to be your family. Thank you Marx, you meant the world to us. I am doing ok, but your daddy is beyond heartbroken and I wish I could make the hurt stop for him, the bond the two of you shared was amazing. Every night when it was time for bed, daddy would say "Marx wanna go nite nite?", on cue you would go to the bottom of the stairs and wait for your human chariot to lift you up and take you to your king size sleep # throne! (Marx was a #55 btw ) Run like the wind handsome boy....Lily, Bobby, Dewy, Mr. Murph, Baily and of course Java were all there to greet you at the bridge, give them smooches for us Doodles. Send us a rainbow when you can sweet boy. We love you and will miss you.

Robbie, it has been and will be such an emotional issue for you, but it is time to forgive yourself. I remember all too well the devistation of your situation and look how far you have come. Sounds like this is Iberia's way of making that happen and now everytime you look down or see yourself in the mirror wearing the necklace you can smile. Hugs to you, it's a beautiful piece, you should be proud of yourself and your sweet pup helping heal you heart.
