DesiRayMom Posted May 7, 2014 Author Share Posted May 7, 2014 Thank you all for your kind thoughts. I did speak with Carol's mom today. She is devastated, just as we knew she would be. She herself is ok, bruised ribs from the seatbelt. She had called her son after the accident. Once he knew his mom was ok, he took Carol to the e-vet, left her there with permission for pain meds & xrays, then went back to get his mom. Once she was released from the human er, they went back to the e-vet, where they received the bad news. But the good news is that Carol's mom got to see her (she said she was calm & seemed to be in no pain) and say good-bye. Even though the accident was not her fault (someone made a turn in front of her) she feels guilty. We cried & cried. I didn't go into details, but I did tell her that there were dozens of greyhound moms around the country grieving with her for Carol, and wishing her well. Made her cry even more, but I do think she appreciates our thoughts for her. Thanks all.........you're the best. Quote Blessed is the person who has earned the love of an old dog.
