If you can, do the pamidronate. It made a huge difference for Sutra.

 

I also took him swimming at my neighbor's pool to keep his muscle in that leg healthy without him having to put pressure on it. I had to get in with him to hold him up and guide him around (it was a good arm workout for me too!)

These are such agonizing decisions, but there are no wrong ones. Now you can concentrate on keeping him comfortable, spoiling him rotten, and loving him. I'm so sorry that you and your precious Havok are going through this. Sending lots of prayers.

Well, his limp is getting more pronounced and he is spending more time in the crate. :( We have upped his tramadol. He is still eating good. We are still taking it one day at a time.

Cully, is Havok taking Gabapentin?

 

Cully, Nube is now on 150 mg Tramadol 3 x day and 300 mg Gabapentin 3 x day -- please check with your vet on this (and DON'T let him tell you that's too high! although you may want to go up a bit gradually with the Gab initially). Nube is still limping, too, but not quite as bad as before but it may be from the radiation.
