Platelets up to 119k. Starting to think he had a bacterial infection that caused low platelets in first place. Unfortunately spreading to his leg. He may be able to come home next week! He is on some pretty strong meds and feeling tired but you can see in his eyes that he feels much better. Thank you for all your prayers and good thoughts. We know that we can get through this. He is being so well taken care of and is receiving as much love as possible. Jane, Kato is on a strict diet right now. Maybe he will be able to have some home cooked meals soon. My housemate works for the Vet School (blood donation program but also helps out with the GHWP (greyhound health and wellness program). So I can just send the food/treats in with her.
