Guest roselle Posted December 6, 2010 Share Posted December 6, 2010 Gracy was fine when I went out for 4 hours. I came home to find her in the most horrible pain. It's her remaining hind leg. She can't sit or lay down. she wouldn't take her tramadol in cheese, I had to crush and dissolve it and use a syringe. I'm not sure if I overdosed her by crushing. What else can I do? How do I know if the cancer is back in her leg and it's fractured? If I take her to the E.R. what can they do? I'm calling the oncologist. Any fast advise is MOST WELCOME. KF_in_Georgia Posted December 6, 2010 Share Posted December 6, 2010 The ER can x-ray. An x-ray can tell you if the cancer has spread and/or if her leg is broken. The ER also might be able to determine if there's a different problem. At the very least, the ER can give her adequate pain meds. (Be sure you tell them what you've already given her.) Were you able to get her x-rayed? Hoping beyond hope that it wasn't a fracture and that the cancer isn't back. Guest roselle Posted December 6, 2010 Share Posted December 6, 2010 I took Gracy to the E.R. about an hour and a half after I gave her the metacam and tramadol. By the time we got there it was kicking in, but she couldn't and still can't get up or stand on her leg for more then 20 seconds. They E.R. x-rayed her it was a poor x-ray, they saw nothing, I took her home. She has been at my vet all morning being evaluated. He just called, NO LUNG METS.
