Merlin's Surgery Is Tomorrow...

Recommended Posts

Thanks again.

I'm just a bit worried (I know, I know, I'm a worry wart) about his creatinine levels. They were elevated even for a greyhound - 2.2. If his BUN was normal, do I need to worry?

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

George has NEVER had a normal creatine level, even greyhound normal. Urine tests all normal, and BUN normal. I sent his result to Dr. Couto via email because my vet kept testing and testing and testing, and Dr. C said that the creatine level, absent any other issues, was not a problem.

I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to update today, it's just been a crazy, crazy day, and I had to go to the vet to get some probiotics for Merlin, too. He had bad diarrhea this morning, but I expected that - his stool this afternoon was not as bad. The probiotics will help. He's on antibiotics for a few days. He was still VERY drowsy this morning - I took him out and he seemed very confused and a bit bewildered by his surroundings. But by lunchtime he seemed to have perked up, and by this evening he seemed almost back to normal :)

He is very snuggly  Have I mentioned how crazy I am about this boy?:blush :blush :blush

Now we're just a little anxious about the lab results - and DH, who called me "ridiculous" for worrying the other day, is now just as worried as I am  He's actually more worried about the lump on his side than the one on his gum...

Fingers crossed. Thanks for your continued good thoughts!
