Hello From A Nyc Newbie

Hello, I'm Sara, and I have a greyhound problem. We’ve had our (first) grey all of two weeks and we’re addicted. Our girl is the best, smartest, funniest, most wonderful grey ever to walk the earth. Oh – wait – you all say that? Hmmm…..

Meet Bella, a five-year-old black female. She’s adapted amazingly quickly to life in the big city – we took her to a picnic in Central Park this weekend and people wouldn’t believe that she’d only been with us for two weeks.

Thrilled to be on Greytalk – have been reading some of the posts for a while and finally joined. Thanks for all of the advice already!

Great to hear more greys are in NYC. We adopted while we were in Queens but now live in DC. Congrats - when do we get to see pictures?

Welcome from Stamford :) We just moved out of the city in January, but it is a wonderful place for a greyhound!

We sometimes get back in with William to see his beloved (Hi Miss Aquitaine  ) but not as often as we'd like.

Enjoy your new pup!

Welcome! She's gorgeous, and your blog was really fun to read. Sounds like she's settling in well, and you are too! Can't help you with the addiction thing though...I've got it too! :lol

Such a pretty girl! And I see you got her through GFNJ - we got our Ellie through them. What was her track name?

We're in Hudson county, NJ but work in NYC.

Congratulations on your new Greyhound. We just adopted out a beautiful black boy to a couple in Binghamton, NY, earlier this morning. They're as thrilled with him as you are with yours. :)

Our DD works in lower Manhattan and lives in a 500 sq. ft. apt. overlooking the Verrazano Bridge in Brooklyn. She already has two cats and a dog, but can't wait until she has a bigger place and a Greyhound of her own.

Once you fall under their spell, you are hooked for life. Good luck with the Beautiful Bella. She is gorgeous!
