Guest TaraCoachCougar
Cougar's 5th and final chemo teatment was yesterday morning. We came out with another $620 on the credit card (chemo itself is free but he had x-rays, ultrasound, a slew of meds and there normal supply/service fees), but also received the sweet words on his discharge instructions - Here for adriamycin #5-No evidence of disease recurrence!! Also under Diagnostic testing, it included: Chest x-rays: no evidence of metastasis at this time and Ultrasound: No evidence of progression of disease at this time! Along with his Cerenia (for nausea), Prednisone, tramadol and gabapentin he also came home with amoxicillin for a possible UTI. We might just make it to that 13th birthday on Sept. 26th after all. We will remain cautiously optimistic but I think this is a real time to celebrate. Well, maybe after Cougar comes out of these next couple of slow days from the treatment. Now, if we can get the acupuncture battling the LS symptoms and the corns under control, we'll be in business. I'm so proud of my little fighter!
