We went to see our boy tonight, and it is clear that there was no improvement. I talked with the vets at the hospital, and then called my own vet. (He has been talking to the hospital vets every day and had left a message for me to call him on his home phone this evening.) When I talked to my vet, he told me that he knows how much we love Logan, and that now it was time to love him enough to do this for him.

And so we said goodbye. I can't believe my sweet boy is gone.

I am so very sorry, I hoped for a miracle like you did. I know how much you are missing him and hope that you know how wonderful it was that you took time to examine the options and did the best for your boy. After a kind of similar prognosis, I talked to my vet too and took his advice about what he would do if my hound were his own. Doing the right thing sucks. :f_red:brokenheart

I am so sorry that you had to walk your sweet boy to the Bridge tonight. So many new Angels in the Heavens tonight. Run pain free sweet Logan and make sure to send your Mom a sign that you are ok. Hugs to you and your family.
