Happy tears here!!!

 

Lexy and Gunner asked if Monty will be their "roomie"/ sleeping buddy again in Dewey this year!

 

I said, ...

 

ABSOLUTELY YES!!!

You and Mark deserve huge drink! Monty gets a :cookie , or pumpkin pie,

and Sam should get a giant hot fudge sundae!!!! (My treat next time I see you all!)

Another shoe drop????? My vet wants me to talk with the onco vet next week when Monty has his ultrasound as his plasmacytoma is "very aggressive" and might warrant chemo . She didn't want me to get overly optimistic as he MIGHT need more chemo . Oy vey. The onco vet didn't have the written report when we briefly spoke yesterday so I will see what she says next Friday.....

I am reading the path report right now, it is totally confusing.

"results of IHC stains are as follows-negative for CD79a, lambda light chains, and mum-1. Positive for igG. IgG is a plasma cell marker, so this staining is consistent with a plasma cell tumor. The other three stains also are supposed to stain plasma cell tumors. I suspect they are negative because the tissue is somewhat poorly fixed."

Nothing about being aggressive.... I think my vet actually spoke with the path vet and got that verbally.

What? How can I benign tumor that was removed need chemo? I don't understand. Hope that you can all the vets can figure this out soon.

Adding: just called my vet. She said the reason the onco vet might continue chemo is the "high mitotic index". She said it is only a maybe and to talk with the onco vet before getting worried.
