vjgrey Posted February 4, 2009 Share Posted February 4, 2009 This week, I've gone from making plans to bring my sweet girl home to finding out she's been killed in a dog fight. Erin messaged me this weekend to let me know that Holly wasn't going to make it as a racer. We were surprised but also excited to meet our pretty girl, so we scrambled to make plans to bring her home. Holly surprised everyone and won her next schooling race by a landslide, so they decided to give her another chance. Apparently, sometime last night/this morning, another dog somehow got his muzzle off and had done too much damage before they could stop him. I can't help thinking that if she hadn't won that race, she'd be on her way to Oklahoma right now. I often asked her trainer to give her kisses and belly rubs for us and to tell her that she had a family waiting who loved her. I hope he did that - I hope she knew she was loved and very much wanted.
