Guest myjazzy
Healing thoughts for Monty. I have expereince with a wound in that spot and it's a bear to heal. My pup's opened up twice and the third time he had to have it stitched, I just left him at the vet's until it healed. I figured it would be cheaper than surgery if he reopened it. He freaked out with the e-collar so the vet came up with putting on a pair of shorts with a whole cut out for the tail. That seemed to work for him. He wore them for a while after he came home. I would just take the shorts off when he went out to potty. He looked very cute with his shorts and didn't seem to mind it too much.

Rickiesmom
Great news! Now Monty, listen closely: do not, do KNOT, do anything to interfere with the new sutures healing. No licking, chewing, inappropriate stretching, sudden urges to run, jump, fly, whatever. It's tough, but it will be over before you know it, and will be soooooooooooooooo worth it. Guest greytmonty
Monty is so wiped out and seems to either be in pain or post-anesthesia. he had no appetite for any dinner at all. He took his pain pills only with some stinky whitefish salad. hmmm, I will have to buy more of that tomorrow. he is sleeping in Sam's room, tucked under the beautiful blanket from Mary (Rickiesmom).
