TheFullHouse Posted January 1, 2009 Share Posted January 1, 2009 Well what ever kind of spider bit him it was a doozy. His leg is still swollen, it's still very painful and yesterday the swelling went up his leg. I called the vet back and they told me that it was going to get worse before it gets better. His fever is gone now so apparently the antibiotics are starting to work a little. He's getting Benadryl every 6 hours and his pain meds. They also said that the skin may peel off of that huge red lump. If he's not better by Friday he will have to go back in. Just curious if the vet suggested you hot pack it? I went through something similar with Bandit over the summer. I never did figure out what the actual injury/? was. I finally just draped the wash cloth over the bite and just let it lay there for a while.
