You came to me as a four year old from the Plainfield track in Connecticut. I had requested a black greyhound, and Kim saw to it that I got you. It must have been someone from above looking out after me to have sent you to me, my sweet and wonderful heart dog. We both retired on the same day....I picked you up after leaving my office and immediately knew you were the one for me. You were so nervous about riding in the car and coming into the house. I remember sleeping on the floor with you the first night...You kept looking up to make sure I was still there. I was there with you then and all the way to the last breath...still on the floor with you....you in my lap as you died... Coby, you saved my life...you really did. You made me laugh when I had nothing to laugh about. I was taking care of Mike, your human daddy at the time....He was very ill with Parkinson's Disease. Times got much worse in the household, but you would slam yourself into me and demand that I hold you and pet you. You danced with me and made me laugh countless times. You loved your stuffies and would parade them around so that I would laugh. It was your way...When your human daddy died, you made sure that you never ever left my side. You loved me with all your heart... When I started dating, you sized up the men and told me which ones you liked and which ones you didn't like...Daddy Don was special and you knew it. Just before you died, you licked Daddy Don all over his face as if to tell him that you approved. You knew that your life was ending, that your job was done...it was time for Daddy Don to watch out over me. You trusted him to take charge...Thank you, my amazing boy. In your short seven years on this earth you were a wonderful athlete, racing your heart out at the tracks...and you were an incredible member of our family...You would have given your life for me, I know that, my dear sweet loving Coby. You were bonded to me in a way that no other has been bonded to me....I loved you so very very much. Coby Bear also left behind his online wife, Sheana. I think Coby somehow knew that he was getting dressed up to take pictures for Sheana...He loved to have me dress him up. He was a very proud boy and loved to be called handsome....He was very handsome and just smashing in his outfits and hats... I love you more than words can ever say, my Coby.
