  1. I'm so sorry Jay. I lost my Gracie in November. I know your pain all too well.
  2. So so sorry Jan. You have a heart of gold.
  3. Jan...I am sooo sorry for your loss.
  4. Gracie came thru fine. She sure knows how to work pathetic! She had all the vet techs wrapped around her paw by the time I picked her up. Bill, that's one fine nub!
  5. My poor girl just had her tail amputated yesterday. The doc left about 5 inches or so. She said Gracie will have a spaniel tail not a dobie tail.
  6. Thanks everybody! Glad to hear so many have done well with this. I'm just waiting for the call that all is well with Gracie too.
  7. My poor girl's wound on her tail got worse and the bone broke thru so she is having it amputated today. Of course I am a nervous wreck and would appreciate any good thoughts you can send our way.
  8. Another sleepless night, he hates the muzzle. I had to cover her tail with a sock because it is so raw. It does look a little better this morning. She is home with the muzzle and sock while I am at work. I hope everything stays in place! Thanks for the suggestions.
  9. We are going with the muzzle. The vet shaved and cleaned the area and all I have to do is keep her from licking! We have pain meds and antibiotics. Wish me luck...
  10. She's making it worse. She is a muzzle remover too, even if I clip it thru her collar.
  11. Poor Gracie got nipped by a neighbor dog on her tail. We are going to the vet after work but in the meantime, how do I keep her from licking it? I can't get an e collar to stay on. Right now it's wrapped up with vet wrap with a sock over it but I'm not confident that will stay on. Any ideas would be appreciated!
  12. My Gracie is great with kids but has no tolerance for ill mannered dogs when we go for walks. She will growl and snap if they jump on her or, god forbid, try to hump her. So would I!!! You've gotten great advice and should be fine.

    My heart hurts for you
  14. Gracie has frequent UTI's and is also a marker. I can tell when something is wrong because she pees in the house. She will pee as many times as she can on a walk.
