iluvgreys Posted July 6, 2008 Share Posted July 6, 2008 With an aching heart and tear filled eyes, I sent the Divine Miss Phoenix to the Bridge this afternoon, to be freed from a failing body that could no longer serve her with dignity. I know she was met by her first owner who was blessed with her company for 10 years. I adopted Phoenix (thank you GT) when she was 12 1/2 and she took her first long road trip with us from Salem, OR to So Cal. In the past 3 1/2 years, she's been on several greyhound adventures (twice to Kanab), and ruled as the Queen of my home with her velvet paw and sharp bark, keeping the young 'ins in line. She'll be very missed and already the house feels empty without her presence. Have asked my Bridge angels to greet her and welcome her to the land of light. Please add your prayers for a safe journey and forever happiness until we meet again. I'll always love you, little girl. You gave Phoenix a wonderful life after her first mom no longer could, and I'm sure they both were thankful for that. Phoenix always knew love.....you made sure she would. Although her body has left, her spirit will always remain with you.
