    Penny Lane

I'm so very sorry. You wrote a great tribute to a very special girl. Godspeed Penny Lane.
  2. I'm so sorry. Godspeed Annabelle.
  3. Oh no! I'm so very sorry. Godspeed Albi.
  4. Oh yeah. I had such terrible SA with Perry that I got her a sister...Minnie. Minnie developed two types of severe IBD before she was 3, and I no longer even think about going away.
  5. I'm so very sorry. She was lovely as well as extraordinarily special. Godspeed Daisy.
  6. I'm so very sorry. Your precious boy left much too soon. Godspeed Rourke.
  7. I'm sorry. Mr. Diggler won a lot of hearts around here. It's wonderful that he had almost two years of the good life. I wish it had been longer. Godspeed Mr. Diggler.
  8. I'm so very sorry. She was a very special girl and she had to leave much too soon. Godspeed Sabrina.
  9. Yup. You can stop cold turkey. Especially at that dosage. I only wean off if I'm using higher amounts and/or more times/day, and then only because I want to make sure the underlying problem is gone so I don't have to scrape up the poop. You can start up again w/o issue as well.
  10. I'm sorry. I hope his pain can be managed so he can be spoiled for quite a while.
  11. For what it's worth, my IBD dog (Minnie, a poodle) has been well controlled for years on a suitable diet. The initial bouts of HGE, which occurred before she was three, were so bad I almost lost her, and she was scoped (two types of severe IBD related at least in part to food allergies) and put on a slew of meds, including the maximum dosage of pred. She was also given a limited-ingredient novel diet. We were able, in time, to eliminate the meds. Now that she's 13, she's gotten a bit more fragile, and is back on misoprostal. Some years after Minnie was scoped, we tried food allergy testing. Although it has a bad reputation, it has been very helpful for Minnie and others (one suspected colitis, some prone to soft stool) here at GITroublesRUs.
  12. I used to have a few chatterers, but I lost Piper and Tally, and Jessie stopped. Jessie started again last fall, and since then I've heard Graham, Pink (always a quiverer but not previously a clacker), Betsy (after 6 1/2 years!), Edie (I think (it was very soft) after 6 years), and Cal (I think--she's only got her canines). The loudest chatterer by far is...Minnie (standard poodle). She doesn't do it often, but she makes it count.
  13. I'm so very sorry. He was a special little guy. Godspeed Rocky.
  14. Betsy has had a few bouts of neck stiffness. During one, she will do things like yelp when getting up, hesitate on stairs/ramp, shake more carefully, eat/drink more slowly/cautiously (bowls are on floor), and limit her pre-meal dinner dance. The first bout started out so badly she was shaking, and some oh-so-helpful soul told me it looked like she was having a stroke. The vet diagnosed it in about 20 seconds by moving her head in different directions (he checked the rest of her too).
  15. Perfect. She was exceptionally regal.
  16. I'm so very sorry. He was a very handsome boy, even as an ostrich. Godspeed Eric.
  17. Sometimes--just sometimes--warming stuff up in the microwave helps.
  18. I'm so very sorry. What a wonderful tribute to a special boy. Godspeed Faster.
  19. Oh Marc, I am so very very sorry that the Duchess is gone. Godspeed Nadia.
  20. I'm so very sorry. She left much too soon. Godspeed Amaya.
