  1. I'm not sure they make a boot. But I would guess that a Thera-paw foot thingie would hold the toe together while it healed. I don't think it would hurt at all. Hell at worst you would be out the money for a pair. But you never know when they could in handy in the future either, so having a pair on hand isn't necessarily a bad idea either. You know? I still have to pair we bought for Dancer's dainty girlie feet and the pair for Dylan's clod-hopper feet. :lol
  2. What about Threa-paw until the toe heals?

Oh Nancy. My heart is breaking for you. I am so very sorry.
  4. Buy Bullfrog. We use that on the bike and it rocks. While I don't have dogs with too much white, we never leave our dogs outside much longer than 5 or 10 minutes, especially in the summer.
  5. Yup, very possible. We used to have to put lotion on horses with white on their faces.
  6. I'm not sure I understand it - this is a supplement, not a pharmaceutical ... what I do understand is that many OTC supplements are ineffective because there's no compulsory regulation as to ingredients, quality or quantity. Buying generic glucosamine from a supermarket may not work as well as getting it in the form of something like Cosequin, which is what I use. I do believe it's not so much good without chondroitin, and many nutritionists believe it's even better with other things added like Vitamin C, and/or manganese, and/or Vitamin E. Some add boron into the mix, but that's more for the bone than the cartilage I think. Ditto. Also, I don't know that I've seen a food with even half enough glucosimine and chondroitin. I have fed both Wellness and Canidae and neither even came close to having enough of either. I stick with the suppliment and feed the food I think does best for the boys. Exactly what I would do.

I am so very sorry Diane. Please except our condolences for you and your family.
  8. In Florida the only shot required yearly is rabies. My dogs are on the "every three year, or when I remember and have to extra money," plan. Since we have three seniors now, I seriously doubt they will be getting any more annual shots. And if I do, it will be done over two or three visits, not all at once.

  11. He hates it! "Keep your paws off of my dinky Lady!!" :rofl
  12. It takes mores peroxide than you realize to cause puking. I would just open his mouth and pour, like Heather says.
  13. I would, depending on how much time elasped.
  14. Both acupuncture and chiro. adjustments will also help a great deal. You can search here to find a Act./Chiro. Vet near you.
  15. I have found that both Fresh Factors and Joint Health from Springtime, Inc. really improved the quality of life for my seniors. This is one supplement definitely worth it!! Dancer did fine until the last two weeks when her read end just gave old. And to look at JD our 15 year old 'Tzu, you would never know he was that old.
