  1. Grand Caravan. I have been driving them for over 20 years now. Never had a crib lizard in any of them.
  2. I remember you I think. Didn't you rescue a pregnant dog from the side of a highway and end up keeping Mama and all the puppies? From Cali. I think.

    Daphne

Daphne 6/28/15 to 10/25/22 Daphne (Killer Daphne) aka Daphne Moon aka Black GirlDog aka Daddy’s Other Girlfriend crossed the bridge this afternoon. She slipped away while I was asleep today and I found her when I woke up. Daphne was a lovebug and the first greyhound I have met that would not jump. She would not jump on the bed, and she never got of the couch. Heart thief fit Daphne to a T as she quickly worked her way into ours. Playing in the yard, snuggling with Kevin, snacks and dinner were among the things she enjoyed. She had to be lifted onto the bed and I was not able to do that anymore. However, Daphne never missed Kevin’s bedtime and would stealthily remind him it was past his. Daphne never met a stranger she liked and had no issues avoiding them whenever possible. Would you expect anything less in our home? And in keeping with our tradition, when went to adopt one greyhound and brought home two, her kennel mate Dexter. It was heartbreaking to wake up to such a loss. We take comfort in knowing she was cradled with love until the end. One day we will see you again at the bridge Daphne. Until then, keep the rest of our herd in line. We love you.
  4. It sounds like discretion would be the better part of valor and perhaps simply saying no and insisting on a single dog would be the best route to take. The adoption group should be understanding , especially a first time adopter.
  5. Whatever I put in front of them. They eat it or go without.
  6. I have never used a collar of that sort on any of our dogs. I just work with the dog and we work through it. "Head collar" tells me you are from England or Europe.
  7. Yup, you are right! It is an antibiotic. It's been so long, I couldn't remember for sure. So basically, ignore my post.
  8. I agree, acid eats away the enamel of the teeth. It is one of the long term affects of Anorexia/Bulimia. However some breeders will still worm broods during pregnancy and after birthing with Panacur (I think, if I can remember correctly) and it causes teeth discoloration. All of the FTH puppies had it as a result.
  9. Hot soapy water after every meal! Anything else is just disgusting!
  10. Nope. get used to it. A pair of jams at night will help to keep him warm.
  11. Greyhound data will tell you his official color.
  12. Completely normal. All dogs shed. Cats, horses, people, etc...
  13. I am so very sorry. Forever in you heart.
  14. I am very sorry Jen. Violet was such a unique and charming girl to fall in love with. Danny wanted her phone number. I bet they are romping at the bridge now just waiting until we can each be together again. Sending comforting hugs and loving memories.
  15. Yes, I have noticed it in the past also. Years ago, our holistic Vet recommended the homeopathic remedy Ignatius Bean to help.
  16. Jen We are believers in a day too early is better than a day too late. We let Deuce go rather than risk a broken leg. I know I would not have been able to live with myself if she had broken her leg. We tried with Danny and we lost him anyway. You are making the hardest decision a pet owner ever has to make. Yet we all make the decision with love. Hug her for me and hug yourself. Your decision is the correct one.
  17. Not cheaper than PetsMegaStore. ValuHeart ValuHeart
  18. I simply put a smaller bowl in the larger bowl to slow down the dog. Most anything dog safe can be placed in the bowl to slow them down. And if all else fails, find a couple of large rocks from the garden, wash them, and use that. I have never understood the point of a special bowl. We put a stone or rock in horse buckets to keep them from bolting their feed, same thing works for dogs. But maybe I am just too cheap to buy a special bowl.
