  1. Cerenia (by prescription) for the nausea. Richard's Organic Pet Calm, from chewy.com, for anxiety. Worked better than rx meds for Mazy's thunderstorm/loud noise fears.
  2. Such a beautiful girl. I am so sorry that she had to leave you.
  3. This stuff works pretty good, especially compared to what they sell at pet stores. http://planeturine.com/index.cfm/ID/27/Products#HardSurfaceStainandOdorCleaningSystems
  4. Yup, what they said.
  5. At least she's pooping so she's not blocked. I wouldn't start the rice yet. Perhaps fast for a day unless folks posting after me suggest otherwise. Is she drinking water?
  6. Oh, Mary, I'm so sorry to hear this news.
  7. The onset behavior sounds like a vestibular episode. It eventually passes but can recur in the future.
  8. Perhaps your adoption group can loan you a crate.
  9. Any new neighbors or noises outside that could have scared him?
  10. Too much stimulus too soon. I'd avoid trips away from home particularly to stores or dog parks. If she's really shy I wouldn't push walks to different areas. Let her get used to home and gradually expose her to new things. Take it slow until she gains confidence.
  11. Amicar (aminocaproic acid) is in short supply nationwide. The new manufacturer refuses to sell it as a generic anymore although some pharmacies may still have it. Full price runs $500-650 for a 5 day supply. After dealing with this issue with Percy, Dr Couto suggested Tranexamic Acid ($35). It's used to control heavy menstral bleeding in women and a vet normally not have it. A compounding pharmacy had to order it for me. Only comes in a 650mg pill which Dr C said was OK for a 70 lb greyhound. PL me if you have questions. You may see more bruising in your dogs as that blood gravitates to the lower parts. Eventually it gets reabsorbed.
  12. What a horrible day. Paws crossed for everyone and hugs to you and your partner.
  13. Next time it happens, film it and share with us. Perhaps it will look familiar to someone here.
  14. Brady! It doesn't matter how long your legs are when you have the gift of healing broken hearts.
  15. Discontinue the hydrogen peroxide. Further use might damage the tissue. Muzzle to help deter the licking. How profusely is it bleeding? Squirting out or more from his licking? Have you wrapped it?
  16. Thanks Ed. No, I am not stronger. It's just too painful to post in individual memorials so I started the Bridge Angels list.
