My Rose was a donor dog--she is 11, and she left the blood bank when she was nine. So far, she's been very healthy; my vet didn't mention any possibility of health problems due to having been a donor. Congrats on your new girl!

We helped our sweet girl Vixen go to the Bridge yesterday afternoon. Her body could no longer fight the infection she had, and her organs had begun to fail. Everything possible was done to help her live, and she fought hard. I think she knew her dad at the end--she chattered her sweet little bunny teeth one last time for him as he held her on his lap while she slipped away. I want to share some of my favorite pictures with you all, pictures that will tell you what kind of hound she was, because my words could never be good enough. All that, and so much more. We helped our girl into peace this afternoon. Her liver and kidneys failed.

Just got our morning update. Still not eating, but the vet says she seems more alert today. Still no idea what's causing all this. All prayers appreciated.

I just got back from visiting her at the hospital. She's not any better, but thankfully really no worse. They honestly have no answers for us. We are doing everything we can. I think the only thing that may help her is prayers, so please keep them up.

Our sweet little Vixen has been very sick since just before Christmas. Things aren't going well, and we are afraid she isn't going to make it. It would mean so much if everyone who reads this could say a prayer that things will resolve in whichever way is best for her, soon?
