    Oh Jonathan NO!!! There is no better place for a hound to live out his or her days than with you. I am so sorry for this sudden devastating loss. I am shock with you. Rest well Kent.

    It was you and Tally and Michal and Nancy who gave me the courage to take on my own spook Pat. I was thrilled to meet you and Howard and Tally in Dewey so many years ago. That boy had a life so well lived and so well loved and so long with you. I am sorry he had to leave you. Rest well Tally. You will never be forgotten.

    I live in the country with lots of available variations for my hounds. I change up their walk / ride / run routine every day. Keeps them on their toes and engaged.

    I adopted DaBones and Kia in 2000. They were raw fed right from the beginning. Lost both to osteo in 2008.

    Dodger is my "toe" boy here and the one who does some amateur racing. He had a toe similar to what you are describing in Chase, the difference being Dodger was most definitely lame on his. The swelling went down in about 48 hours IIRC. DD is not a wuss in any way, but he does not care for having his feet touched. I just left him alone and he was fine.
