  1. I recently read an article that said rice tends to go right through some dogs. Might try something other than rice.
  2. Ducky, I'm so very sorry for your loss. Godspeed Mikey.
  3. I've had three 12 and 13 year olds put under and they did fine. Praying she does well.
  4. If he doesn't like the Hill's K/D food, try the Royal Canin low protein/low phosphorous food. Bullitt wouldn't tough the Hills K/D but he loved the Royal Canin canned food. He also got a multivitamin every day along with a fish oil capsule and half a baby aspirin to prevent clots. He didn't get many treats but when he did he got the small Milk Bones twice a day. He did very well on this diet for over a year and a half when we lost him to something totally unrelated to the kidney disease.
  5. Bullitt had the same diagnosis. He did very well on Enalpril, blood pressure meds and a low protein, low phosphorous diet.
  6. I'm so very sorry for your loss.
  7. I'm so very sorry for your loss. Godspeed Cody.
  8. Oh Wendy, I'm so very sorry. I was just thinking about him the other day and was wondering how he was doing. Godspeed Disco.
  9. Unless she continued to try and vomit, I wouldn't worry about it. She may have just been hungry or eaten a bit of grass.
  10. I'm so very sorry for your loss. Godspeed Mac.
  11. It's quite common when putting dogs in the car. Even dogs who have lived together for years will sometimes get testy in such close quarters.
  12. Could be that she's just feeling a lot better! Bullitt had more energy once we found a food combination that he liked and he felt better. If you're using rice, it seems to digest faster and makes them hungrier.
