  1. Checking in too. Hope you got some good info about how to help Gus.
  2. More good news! (Loca) I hope Dee heals quickly and I'm so glad it isn't the alternative!!!
  3. Wow!!!!! What incredible news. Oh I so hope Dr. Couto is right.
  4. I'm so sorry for your loss. Jupp was lucky to have you.
  5. It's heart-wrenching to lose them so young. A year ago when your Lucky died, our five-year-old Snickers had just started limping....osteo too. Sadly, we lost her in August. Maybe the two girls are running and playing together. You remember the happy times after a while, which helps.
  6. Check with your vet. If there's a chance he might recover in that foot, don't cover it because a bootie will not provide him any feedback, which he'll need to develop new connections. Sending lots of prayers for you and Gibby.
  7. I'm so sorry you and Jasmine are going through this. The MRI should help piece some of the puzzle together. Sending lots of positive thoughts for you two.
  8. I was right the first time! At least the names are similar.
  9. You shouldn't use Advantix around cats. Frontline or Frontline Plus is safe. I don't recall what the ingredient is, but Advantix is very dangerous for kitties. Edited to add: Oops -- I was thinking about the other tick control Advantage. I don't know about Advantix....
  10. I'd highly recommend Dr. Ruehlman at Angell Memorial. She was very thorough and very compassionate. Her associate Dr. Sisson has an excellent reputation as well. For Cricket's initial appointment, she reviewed two years of her records in advance and also spent 1 1/2 hours with us. Unfortunately she saw Cricket too late in the game but I was very impressed with her. I'm so sorry Gus is having trouble. It does sound neurological, at least from my limited experience. Sending lots of hugs and positive thoughts Kerri. Gail
  11. Sending many positive thoughts!
  12. Wishing for some answers for Miss Shanti and you. I know how frustrating it is to seek answers and try to help your baby.
  13. I'm sorry to hear. I hope there are some good treatment options to provide you with lots of time together.
  14. Don't blame yourself. I know what your mean about reliving the last awful moments. I did that with Snickers -- things happened so suddenly with her and there was nothing I could do. I think she had a embolism and she collapsed at the vet while we were waiting for her fourth chemo. I was so traumatized that I couldn't drive down the same route even though I had to go somewhere the next day -- I took another way because it all kept coming back to me like a flashback. Put one foot ahead of the other and try to do things that distract you from your thoughts until you are strong enough to deal with them. Allow yourself some healing time; you aren't being disloyal to Otis. It really will get easier for you with time. :grouphug
  15. Glad to hear Daisy is through her surgery. I've been thinking of her today. Good luck for the next week -- the post-surgery keep-calm period sounds challenging.
  16. Hoping Shadow has a better day today and that the swelling subsides.
  17. We'll be sending good thoughts for little Daisy.
  18. I know too well the emotions that must have gone through you that last day. Tara Sue looks like she was so well loved and that she had a wonderful life with you. God speed Tara.
  19. He looks adorable. I hope you fail at fostering!
  20. Flecka was a beautiful girl and looks like she loved every minute of her too-short life. Sending hugs and comfort to you in your loss.
  21. Just seeing this now....offering comfort to you in your loss of Tica. It is so hard and not much can help except the passage of time. It helps to know that your GreyTalk family is here for you.
  22. Focus on the positive....until it's definite you think the best. Sending many prayers for Bodie. I hope it is nothing.
