  1. We called our vet and they said that she should be fine but to watch for any symptoms of distress, discomfort or blockage. I guess it gives new meaning to the word velcro dog.
  2. It was both, but the sticky side was only aout a cm long
  3. This is her daughter speaking, we were playing with Roo when she decieded to find and run around with a piece of velcro on nylon that was in a basket on the table. Despite or best attempts, we could not catch her before it was swallowed. it was about four inches long. Its been only about 5 min since it happened and therre are no symptoms of any problems. Is there anything short of surgery we could do?
  4. You're welcome! It was a lot of fun for us. I'd love to see how the blanket came out -- I'm glad FedX and UPS enjoyed their Burpdogs package too. You had a lot of self-control to wait until Christmas! Try to post a picture soon if you can. Have a great New Year! Gail, Aero, Cricket & Roo
  5. So glad you liked everything -- we were wondering whether you were waiting until Christmas to break open the packages. We're looking forward to seeing the lovely Miss Aruba in her NancyB collar -- the girls, Cricket and Roo, helped select one that reminded them of the ocean and Aruba. Have a wonderful Christmas/holiday and a Happy New Year! Love, your secret santas Aero, Cricket & Roo
  6. I was going to suggest that you call a few minutes before you get there and have a vet tech help you. Good luck to you, and I hope everything is healing well.
  7. Not sure. I have a puppy who is almost seven months. I've been told that they reach their height at around a year, but then take more time filling out. I don't really know for certain though -- I'm interested in hearing what others have to say about this.
  8. This is so much fun to read. I laughed outloud with the "what a surprise" caption after Gideon stole today's present.
  9. Sending positive thoughts for Monte. I'm sure it'll go well. When we were going through osteo with Snickers I couldn't wait to start chemo so we could do something to fight the cancer. She didn't have any side effects except perhaps a little tiredness. I gave her Flagyl and Reglan too so that probably helped.
  10. Carrier sounds like he's doing great! Rooing too.
  11. I'm sorry to hear you have been sick and hope you feel better soon sis! I know that your mom and dad can't watch everything you eat because we puppy girls are so fast. Even when they are watching, I've managed to get things into my mouth even on a leash walk. So tell your mom and dad not to feel upset. Love, Roo
  12. I am so impressed that you sewed those! When you wrote that it was your first time using a pattern, does that mean you are a novice sewer or never have had to use a pattern before? The red is stunning with Aero's coloring and he's such a little snugglebug that he loves wearing his jammies. Isn't the weather unreal? We have so much snow right now. Little Kanga Roo has been kangarooing in the yard just to get around in the areas that haven't yet been trampled. It's hysterical to watch. Some parts are taller than her leg length.
  13. Dear Secret Santas Mommy2Gideon, Gideon & Gabriel, It's Aero and I want to say THANK ROO to all of you for such wonderful Secret Santa gifts! I opened the box a few days ago but Mom was busy getting stuff ready for my skin sister's birthday (today) so she didn't get the pictures on the computer until today. Look at all the pretty packages inside! It's a squeaky toy! And another package! I helped with this one. First I tried to look inside without opening it! A toy with lots of squeakers! Squeak! Squeak! That's also a really cool ball Mom can stuff with treats for me! It feels neat. OMG! A pair of warm jammies for me!!!! I love red too. My Secret Santa Jen made them herself! They fit pefectly!!! They even have an opening in the back so I can do my bizness! Here's a big smile for my special secret Santas from Connecticut! Thank you so very very much!!
  14. Hi Peanut! I finally got my mom to download the photos of me opening the BIG Secret Santa box! I was so excited! I had to help Mom and skin sister open it. Grrr... I had to pull really hard to get the strong tape off. I even gave it a couple of extra bites to make sure it was all set. Then it was time to explore! I stuck my nose right in. Toys and Toys!!!! I also got a really pretty hat that I can wear! Don't I look pretty in it? I also got a blue snuggly blanket. Mom and everyone were laughing about some of the other goodies in there that they wouldn't let me eat -- something about Yellow snow and chocolate reindeer patties. The humans also got chocolates and a yummy bag of hot chocolate mix and cinnamon muffin mix. (I hope they share the muffins with me!) Here's some pictuers of the goodies. I also got a puppy Kong! Maybe someone will fill it with peanut butter or cheese for me. Yummmm! Thank ROO! Secret Santas! I hope you know how much I enjoyed everything! I would give you puppy kisses if you were closer, but I'm still sending them through GT anyway!
  15. Aero wants to thank his Secret Santa Mommy2Gideon, Gabriel and Gideon!!! He couldn't wait, especially after his sisters Kanga Roo and Cricket opened their gifts early, so he opened his package on Thursday. He got a pair of super warm and beautiful jammies -- red with black paw prints that Jen said she made (first time sewing with a pattern!). They were unbelieveably well-made and fit perfectly. Once lazy mom (she says she's busy) downloads the photos you can see me modelling them, including the obligatory rearview shot. I also got lots of cool stuffies! I had to be the Toy Police and trot off with a few in my mouth because my little sister Kanga Roo likes to play and play. So, Thank you Secret Santas you were so sweet and thoughtful and I'm so happy to have nice warm jimjammies for the winter. It's doing nothing but snowing out there. The snow is up to my belly now!
  16. We got the package on Thursday and little eager puppy that Kanga Roo is, she couldn't wait! We did notice the card on the outside and took pictures of the whole process, but I've been running around with Christmas stuff, plus birthday stuff (my daughter's 14th birthday is today). I promise to download and post the photos today. It can take a while so I procrastinate about it. Today we're snowed in with a massive storm (again) so unless the power goes out, look for Kanga Roo's frenzied opening of her presents! They were great! I was just waiting to post something with the photos. In the meantime, Kanga Roo says THANKS SS! YOU"RE THE BESTEST!
  17. I'm so sorry to read this! Sending prayers to Grace and you. I'm sure time will heal her wounds and rebuild her confidence. That was quite an attack -- good thing it didn't puncture anything critical.
  18. Wrapping the pills in a bite-sized peanutbutter "sandwich" works well -- the pill(s) stick to the peanutbutter and they will eat it without filtering out the medicine. Cheese works well too, although some meds aren't as effective with dairy.
  19. Oh no! Poor Fenway. Hope he feels better soon.
  20. Sending positive thoughts for Miss Darcy.
  21. Cricket loves Winslow! I do too! I can't help but smile when I look at his posts and picture. He's such a personality. I'd welcome him as a son-in-law. It's funny but with his overheating issues, she could use some of his warmth. Even after a 10 min. swim she is soooo cold that her teeth chatter! We have to bundle her up in two coats and blast the heat in the car. Cricket's progress has been steady but nothing dramatic. She keeps gradually improving -- little things like being able to pull herself up to a stand from her cushion....barking to go outside for the bathroom, walking independently (not the most graceful) from one room to another....I keep thinking of what an elderly couple said to me a few weeks ago. They had met Cricket and knew about her condition. In November when Cricket had worsened, the woman asked about her and said to me that I had to have patience for a miracle and I keep thinking about her words and how right she is. Cricket isn't going to improve overnight, but she's got the will to live and I hope if we keep on the right track we can get her to at least walk independently most of the time. Her spirit is so strong and determined I just know that if there's a way to do this, Cricket will be there! She keeps looking at Winslow's thread and pictures and I swear this girl (or Winslow) is going to arrange a visit sometime soon. The pic of him watching her swim makes me smile every time I look at it.
  22. Cricket has a very nice Secret Santa (grey v -- Rory and Bailey and foster Ernie) who picked out a beautiful 2Hounds collar for her. The neat thing is I spotted her with Rory walking at one of my favorite places down the street about a month ago and introduced myself -- I was so excited that someone with greys lived so close. Grey V (Liza) said she couldn't believe it when they got Cricket as their Secret Santa recipient. One of these days I hope Cricket is strong enough to go for a walk with her handsome dogs -- wearing her beautiful 2Hounds collar of course!
  23. He's gorgeous and he looks so happy! Congratulations. I love his name too.
  24. Hello Secret Santa who lives so close by! I've heard about you and your doggies from my brudder and sis who have gone for walks with you. Mom says that some day I will get to meet the handsome boyz Rory and Bailey and Ernie when the ground is not so slippery for walks. Anyway, after Mom and Aero and Kanga Roo came home, they had a surprise for me. I was so excited! After sampling some yummy treats, my skin sister pulled out another box from my stocking.... after she put the stocking on my head! Mmmmm. Can I eat it? Let me smell it. I couldn't wait to unwrap it! Oh my! It's a beautiful collar! In an absolutely stunning color -- perfect for my golden fur. Waiting patiently for it to be sized for me.... Come on! What's taking you so long? Finally! Here I am wearing it. Here's a better pic of the collar -- please excuse my bald spot from my spinal tap. It takes a long time for my fur to grow back. Thank you Secret Santa! I think the collar is so so pretty and I love the treats. I even sat (which is difficult for me now) for one although mom didn't get a picture of the actual sit.
