    How scary! I am glad she made it through the surgery.

    I am glad he is doing better! It is very hard not to panic after all he has been through, when you think you see him heading back to the bad place. This disease, especially in the early stages, would try the patience of a saint, which I certainly am not , but I learned to just take a deep breath and wait. You will too!

    Dee, I am so pleased to hear how well Goldie is doing! Isn't it amazing how many ways the thyroid can affect the body & temperment!

    she looks fantastic! I am always amazed at how fast the dogs bounce back from major surgery!

    those are excellent baby steps! The slippery elm is a great idea, and may help with his diarhea as well as coat the stomach. 7 lbs is not a terrible amount of weight for an IBD dog to loose, this may help him bounce back faster as for where this came from, I don't know that anyone really knows the initial cause in many cases.
