  1. I am sure they would have called you if there was a problem, but if they said they would call with an update, it is very unprofessional not to! I would certainly let them hear about it
  2. Fletcher will only eat his own poop, no one elses it is
  3. no experience here either, but I am glad to hear Augie has a diagnosis! Let the healing begin
  4. Glad to hear she is doing better! I hope she is one of the ones who makes a full recovery
  5. I mostly use dehydrated liver/chicken/salmon, or home made treats where I can control the ingredients (Fletcher does have IBD). However, I will admit to giving them bacon flavored Pup-a-Ronis He can eat them, all the dogs love them, it's just a treat so why not!
  6. Glad you got a diagnosis! From what I've read, they can recover 90%-100% from vestibular disease. Hoping this turns out to be the case for Meeka!
  7. You do have your hands full! for Doolin, Kodie, and you too!
  8. If the dewclaw wasn't completely torn off, it may have fallen off by now Molly has torn three dewclaws in the last two years I all cases, the claw eventually fell offafter a couple of days. The only thing to worry about is infection.
  9. I am so sorry you still don't have an answer! You know your dog best, and if you think something is not right, don't dismiss it! Since Jabari is older (although I think Iggies live longer than greys?) could it be something as "simple" as arthritis? I would get an x-ray also, just to see.
  10. Not to make light of Sweet Pea's tummy problems, but "cyclical gurglies " Very descriptive!
  11. I have thought of trying this for Fletcher (IBD), but he doesn't like regular honey, so I guess I'd have to hide it, maybe mix it with his pumpkin? I think I will get some and try it, if he won't eat it, there's always wound healing. Thanks for posting the article!
  12. Hope she is over whatever upset her. I don't think there is anything more disgusting than poop-barf
  13. I started feeding raw 7 yrs ago because of a dog with IBD. At the time, there weren't any kibbles he could eat. He was still on Metronidazole when we started (he was about 2 1/2, too) It worked really well for him, he was able to get off the ABs and just takes them when he has a flare up. A little over a year ago, I tried to feed kibble in the morning and raw at night, to save time & money. I feed Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream. I do this every day with my girls, who do not have IBD, but even though the kibble doesn't have any of the foods that I know trigger an IBD episode, he still can only eat it about two days a week. First, you have to figure out what foods your dog is sensitive to. Whether or not you can do part kibble and part raw (or home cooked) depends on if you can find a kibble she can tolerate. It seems that there is something in the processing of the food that affects a lot of IBD dogs, but not all. If she is good with duck, adding the whole carcass sounds excellent! Good luck!
  14. Based on what you said about him being fine until the scratched trachea, I think I would push for at least an x-ray, if not an ultrasound. IBD and/or colitis can flare up even on meds, but the way he's bounced from fine to bad and back to fine doesn't sound like that. for Doolin (and you!)
  15. I am glad Sam is feeling better! Sallie is my screamer, so I know what you mean I hope the adjustments help him
  16. I am so sorry this is happening, but for whatever my opnion is worth, I think you are making the right decision.
