  1. Conner's shoulder injury isn't in the muscle, it's the triceps tendon, and vet says some of these can take up to a year to fully heal. Actually, in his case, it never really will be 100% because of other issues, but he is 11.5. If you haven't gotten x-rays, I would, just to be sure.
  2. what a roller coaster! so glad the handsome man has responded to the treatment and has a positive future!
  3. The other one that I have is made by Carol Becker of God's Greyts. They have an etsy site. It can take a little while as she makes them to fit your dog, but they are light weight and can stay on the dog 24/7. The Ruffwear is sturdier, but I wouldn't leave it on.
  4. Don't get VPI. It has been years since I had them, but from what I have read much more recently on GT, they haven't changed their ways!
  5. I am sorry it was all happened so fast, but then we are never ready
  6. Most of my dogs and cats didn't really interact, but Fletcher, who was more "cat workable" than "cat tolerant" did react differently with each cat, depending on the cat's personality.
  7. I am so sorry Robin, I know what a heart healer she was for you
  8. it is very small, so even if it is bad, you are on it early.
  9. I am so sorry I had hoped you and Sneaky Pie would be among the lucky ones
  10. I am glad you are starting treatment. I hope she tolerates it well. I have heard of a least one dog that was 2 yrs post treatment and still going strong! Of course, that is the exception, but shows that it is possible. On the other hand, if she does not tolerate the treatment, do not feel bad stopping it. You will do what is best for her
  11. hoping it is just his age. A lot of them do lose weight and/or eat less as they age.
  12. I am so sorry, that is what my Molly had. I hope it turns out to be something less aggressive, and if not, that the chemo can help.
  13. I am so very sorry His abscence will be hard to bear, but he will never really leave you.
