I shared a hotel room at a greyhound event many years ago with a woman that had an Azawakh and he was very reserved. Not unfriendly, just, reserved, but he got along fine with my two greys and her greyhound. She had gotten him from GALT, apparently there had been a breeder in Oklahoma trying to use them for coyote dogs, so there might still be some, or some crosses, around in the Midwest. But a purebred, yes, very rare and expensive.
