  1. We got the bad news yesterday. Amputation is not an option. Mercury is 11 with spinal arthritis and a fair amount in his front right wrist (Osteo is in front left leg). So, my goal is to keep him as comfortable and with me as long as possible. Yes, we have an oncologist consult next week, but I'm doing my homework now. I'm pretty sure I want the biophosphate treatment to retard progress but what about chemo or radiation? What have been your experiences with non-surgical Osteo treatments. Thanks for your input and I'm sorry for your loss.
  2. I yam too busy being on de ovver side ob de houe wiff Mummy and Daddy. Who cares wut happins in de libbimg room? As long as he didn't steal de Christmas roast, wut diffrence duz it make? Merc
  3. One of the things I disliked about moving to Florida and a "neighborhood" is having to use single-use plastics to pick up a biodegradable product. I reuse grocery bags but as I tend to use totebags, there aren't many of those.
  4. So…. That’s how I’ll go down in history. Yeah, I’m O.K. with that.
  5. Thanks for that (and for remembering about my assignment for my MBA students). I don't show myself on the internet often but for you guys......My video for my students Yes, I really snailmailed all 38 students a can of SPAM for their term projects.
  6. Oh My Word. I can't tell you how many times I've had to tell Mercury he has to MOVE before I could cover him because he was standing on the blanket. Eight weeks, huh? That might be a record.
  7. I was at Greyhounds Reach the Beach several years ago. One display had dog shaped balloons. I saw a hound go up and sniff the balloon's butt.
  8. Houndie #1: Oh boy! We're going for a ride! And Mummy's picking up dinner! I wonder what it is!! Houndie #2: I'll bet they forgot the extra gravy. Again.
  9. I considered it a show of his trust in me. Mummy will make things better.
  10. Mercury will come to be at bed time with a pitiful look on his face. I know he's gotten a piece of his bedtime biscuit caught in his cheek. He comes to me. I poke it back into his mouth. He chomps it up and goes to bed. Good to know I'm useful for something.
  11. Yep, that sums up Mercury. Though he can be a good space heater during nap time, in the summer, in south Florida, when you're trying to cool off.
  12. Ivy! Calling Ivy (Carolina Spoon) to the contest. She has the most beautiful earigami.
  13. I love it. Mercury is a noisy chatterer too and I adore it. I never thought of it as ASMR but it really is.
