  1. I can reach into either dog's throat and pull out any nasty thing they're trying to scarf down.* It takes time and work, trading up for higher value treats like Brandiandwe says above. You're reacting very sanely, by the way. Some folks flip out the first time the dog growls at them. *Does not apply to live animals, or (probably) recently dead ones!
  2. I'd wait it out. It's likely he'll puke it up on his own. You might want to give some bread to cushion things. Brees can't have toys like that for the same reason. They just taste too good!
  3. I was working today. Their Daddy didn't mention anything, but I doubt he followed them around the yard. They're both behaving normally. Normally, for Joe and Brees, of course!
  4. That's a Costco bed. $40. We have the same one, and it's very good. They don't hold up to Joe's brand of nesting the way the older ones did, but they last longer than an $80 Petsmart memory foam one!
  5. Henry is smarter than whichever one of mine did the deed. They ate the wrappers. No problems yet. Brees was really hyper for a bit yesterday. Sugar and caffeine?
  6. You don't think the nice lady who took them last time would do it???
  7. Nope! They're totally fine. They were up my butt when I cleaned out fridge, and are dying to get at the meat sauce that's simmering Fish. Next time, I'm getting fish.
  8. Thanks! Your chart basically says they might crap and puke. I covered our bed, as it's the preferred puking location!
  9. Maybe this should be in Soap Box. One or both of the frickin fracken hounds got into the closet and pulled down some Christmas gifts. The chocolates were wrapped with a lovely red blanket. Blanket is slimy. Chocolate bag is shredded, no evidence of shiny wrappers. It was a mix of milk, dark, and white truffles. Smallish bag -- 15-20 pieces. I was going to mail it today. Vet said to give bread to move things along. Joe has *just* started back on a normal diet. They're going to have Christmas poop. Blankie, at least, is for a dog person. She'll understand the dried slobber. Damn it! I really need some chocolate now.
  10. Oh, man. Alicia, I'm sorry. (I'm also laughing at the foot peeing.)
  11. Has the vet had you try putting a drop of atropine on the hot spots? Tastes truly foul -- even to dogs!
  12. Fabulous! I'm so happy to hear she's doing better!
  13. I know nothing about any of he medical/scientific stuff. I do know that you have every right to lose your sh*t!!!
  14. Damn!. I'm so very for your loss. Chase's letters always made me smile. Thanks for giving us this last one.
  15. Welcome! Both of mine ate paper when they first came home. It eventually stopped on its own.
