  1. I am so sorry. She was a beautiful girl! Run Free Walli!
  2. Our adoption group recommended crating at first, so we did that and it gave her a chance to observe her surroundings without being too scared. We also took her on a tour of the house and showed her where her water dish was. We both hung around the house with her and got to know each other. We did the same with our second grey and it worked out well for both of them.
  3. OMG, I am so sorry. No one should have to go through such heartache in one day. Run free together Bubba and Suds.

I remember reading all about Riddick, and I remember crying when I heard about your tragic loss. What a sweet happy boy he was! Hugs to you on this difficult day.
  8. Have you tried taking Chloe on a walk without Olivia? Our two have very different walking styles too, and sometimes my husband and I will each take a dog and give them their own "private" walk with Mommy or Daddy. They love it! Breeze can walk briskly, which she loves, while Beka can stop and sniff anytime she wants along the way without holding up her sister . We had a lot of luck with that technique!
  9. Lori, I am so sorry she had to leave. Run Free Daytona! Go find Bill and all the cookies too!
  10. Our vet told me yesterday that cutaneous hemangiosarcoma is caused by exposure to UV rays, so it often appears in an area with very little hair (like my Breeze's bald belly). So if the dog was exposed to sunlight (like racing in Florida) or laying out in the sun, that is when it is most prevalent.
  11. Breeze had a similar lump (not quite as big as that one) and the biopsy showed cutaneous hemangiosarcoma. Fortunately we got it early and was able to be completely excised. It was a good idea for you to have the vet take care of it. Good luck- hope it is benign!
  12. Hi and welcome from Maryland USA! Best of luck to you in your search for your greyhound. Please come to GT often, you will find lots of fun people and interesting information here!
  13. I am so sorry that Peachy had to go to the bridge. : Run Free Peachy!
  14. Breeze does this all the time when she wants a belly rub. She wraps her forepaw around my arm so I stay with her. Or if she lays down for a bellyrub she will "wave" her paw to get my attention and I fall for it every time!
