  1. Acana makes single ingredient dog food. My guys do really well on it and have the softest, shiniest coats.
  2. But your cat lived to tell about it
  3. Most spirited doggie ever and she earned her name. Sadly she went to the bridge in 2009. Thanks again to Batmom for being her voice and the voice of reason.
  4. Baleen Our guys are funny, aren't they? Sometimes I'll leave a room where I left an empty wrapper or something; get one step out of the room, and remember about the wrapper. Bu the time I return to get it, it's been shredded.
  5. Your neighbours have to take responsibility for the cat. Greyhounds are hunters and and will sometimes kill animals. their cat shouldn't have been outside, and certainly shouldn't have been in your yard.
  6. I haven't taken them on a train but they've been on a tour bus. They eventually settled in and all was fine.
  7. He also unzips purses and suitcases. I've caught him red handed.
  8. Xavi is the one who steals food from on top of the fridge. Not just food, also bird seed bells and pans of brownies, with the brownies still in the pan. Those galgos are so much fun
  9. Tables, tops of fridges, bags of groceries, purses, any place where there can be food.
  10. I’m so sorry. I remember meeting him, and he was such a sweetie.
  11. I've never crated my dogs and all is fine. Sometimes I muzzle them when I go out to keep my house (and them) safe, but they've always been able to roam the entire house.
  12. There was somebody who used to be on GT who had always muzzled her dogs when she went away. Once when she didn't, one attacked and killed the other. I have never, ever forgotten the pain and the guilt that she went through, and is still experiencing, even though this happened many years ago.
  13. Yep, dogs pick up on anxiety. LaFlaca gave great advice. Shorter, relaxed walks and tons of love and patience.
  14. Another thing you can try doing when you're home is attaching his leash to you (via your waist or whatever works; with him on the other end) so you can watch for "I have to go out" signals. Once you have those, you can incorporate his internal schedule into the schedule he already has. Sometimes the signs are really subtle, such as eye contact.
  15. Yep. Mine refuse to go out in the cold, snow, rain, wind, and any other weather condition that's not perfect. I gently push them out (fenced yard) by their bums and leave the room for a few minutes. I just outstubborn them.
