Thank you all. She is unbelievably sweet. The sound of the neighbor's sprinklers had her looking all around this morning. She could hear them but they were farther back on the lawn so she couldn't really see the fine spray and we did a few silly spins. This is her first day "alone" in the house. She is baby gated in my bedroom, bathroom and hallway. Beds in my room and the hallway. My stepfather is home so she isn't alone. He hasn't had a dog since the standard poodle I had to leave at home when I left died. He is good with them, he likes them, but he has elected not to have the responsibility of having one. Based on how quickly he fell in love with Proxy (and the fact that he has a picture of an apricot standard poodle on his credit card) I don't think it will take him long to be won over!
