  1. Gosh, I've been in love with that beautiful white face for quite some time, now. Godspeed, Tori. I am so very sorry for your loss. Those quirky ones really leave a mark.
  2. I just ordered it, too, to have on hand just in case. Lorinda (3DogNite) is a huge fan - she has used it for years and raves about the results.
  3. Of the 5 Greyhounds and 6 cats that I have or had, there is no pattern to the stuffie play as it relates to the cats.
  4. Baron looks like my boy, Dalton. Dalton is a big boy, too, and although Greyhound-Data says Dalton raced at 74 lbs, at 76 lbs he looks emaciated! He now weighs 78 lbs and looks perfect! If Baron feels good, eats well, good poops, has been given a clean bill of health by your Vet, then I would just assume that the grooming person's comments came from lack of exposure to Greyhounds.
  5. Oh, Miss Isabellaknockitoff - you will be sorely missed by two legged and four legged friends alike. Godspeed, Sweetheart.
  6. Tracey and John, Thank you so much for adopting a senior! She was breathtakingly beautiful! It's no wonder you fell in love upon seeing photos of her. I am sure that she found the best forever home with you and I am so sorry she couldn't stay longer. Cancer is a monster that robs us of those we love every day. Godspeed, Lily.
  7. I am very sorry for your loss. She sure found the best possible forever home - bless you and DH.
  8. I have walked down this path 3 times with Greyhounds. The first time was the learning experience about end of life issues and thank goodness I had paved the way for my Vet to tell me when it was time because we were dealing with lymphosarcoma and I didn't have a clue. #2 was osteo and despite greyt advice from others on this forum regarding pain control, she gave me "the look" 10 days post dx. #3 was multiple organ failure stemming from glomerulonephritis and she, too, gave me "the look" but not until I had talked and talked and talked to her to convince her that I would be ok. I am so sorry you are facing this decision, especially if your DH isn't on board. I had to go it alone too, but it was the least I could do as my last act of love. Better a day too soon than an hour too late.
  9. Please do a super chem panel even though one was done 5 weeks ago. A lot can change in that time. Urinalysis to check for the usual culprits, especially concentration, culture and check her blood pressure. I will never give another dog Proin. It cost me my heart dog.
  10. Hi, Jason. I'm Linda and I'm a former dog snob, too. Welcome to the cult club! You do know the rules - that photos are mandatory, right?
  11. I am so sorry......................so young, so beautiful. She made the most of her time with you, what with presenting you with challenges that would forever embed her memory in your heart and soaking up your love, she was a beautiful, smart, quirky girl.
  12. Carl was one of my first crushes on GT - being big and black and all. What a guy! I am so sorry he left so soon.
  13. He will always be with you. You gave him a piece of your heart and he gave you a piece of his. Anniversaries can be tough, but smiles remind us that the pain is only temporary. So glad he sent Jimmy to help heal your heart.
  14. Hugs for you and Tori. Please try and find a Vet who has an I-therm machine. It's an ultrasound machine that is a little miracle worker. Non-invasive, painless, no drugs, relaxing and an excellent compliment to acupuncture.
  15. I am very sorry. Please send my condolences to everyone who loved Yvain.
  16. I am very sorry. I remember Egon - such a handsome guy.
  17. Fuzz just turned 10 and has battled that dandruff, dry, flaky, itchy skin since she adopted us 8 years ago. We have tried everything and anything, OTC oils, vitamins, Missing Link, you name it, we tried it. Also have tried every topical skin treatment known to man or dog with no improvement. Switched her to raw food in January and this year she is 90% flake free, 95% itch free and her coat is gloss black. So happy my sweet girl isn't itchy anymore.
  18. Marc, I am so sorry for your loss. Mama Cleo made her mark on GT very early and will probably be remembered most for knowing she was home before you did. Godspeed, Cleo. We will look for your star tonight. I'll bet you, Nadia, Honey and Kara are swapping stories about your best Dad.
  19. I am so sorry. Godspeed, Queen. You're pain free.
  20. no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no........NO. Oh, no. Jan, I am so sorry, words cannot begin to express what is in my heart. So many loved him because of the way you shared him with us. Thank you. You made some wonderful memories that I hope will help heal the ragged edges of your broken heart.
  21. Handsome devil, Camp Direktor, Chef, Heart Healer and oh so much more rolled into one! HAPPY GOTCHA DAY, SEAMIE! Hope there are stinkie fishes all around tonight! Let's plan on doing something extra, extra special next year, ok?
  22. Welcome to the cult club and welcome to GT! From your description, it sounds as if you have been schooled well and take direction (from Puddy) well, too! A year from now you will be amazed at how much you have learned and you can give all the credit to Puddy! He sure is a handsome dude and smart, too! Come back often and post lots of photos.
