1. Happy Birthday Bee. I miss reading about her. I was thinking about her the other day. She sure touched so many people. Sending gentle hugs on this day of sweet sorrow.
2. I give my two greyhounds 2 Fresh Factors and 3 of the Joint Health each night. No weight gain, I just think a large percentage of dogs in the US are over weight. My vet said that from what he has been reading that it is a good idea to start joint supplements at 2 years old regardless how much or little they raced. Can help prevent future issues. I love these supplements. Want to give my hounds every advantage in good health that I can.
3. So glad your girlie is home and feeling better. Love the photos!!
4. Oh no, I remember seeing this beautiful girl. I am so sorry that she wasn't able to stay with you longer. She had true love in the last days of her life. Run free pretty girl. You were loved and will be missed. Sending gentle hugs and greyhound kisses- Janice, Luka and Peace
5. I use Newmans Own Organic chicken and rice adult formula. Both hounds love it and do very well on it. I get it on the subscription program from Amazon and it ships free every month. Can also get it at Whole Foods but the local one by me does not have a pet food section.
6. I asked an animal communicator at Mountain Hounds about my fox terrier Scout who is 13 and I am afraid will pass before the year is out. He is very anxious and unsettled when I am not around. I was afraid he would be scared and alone when he goes to the Bridge. The woman said no, he will never be alone. He will meet all the dogs and people that he knew in past lives and he will happy. SHe said that dogs do not fear death, they understand that their time on earth is limited and they accept it. They often tend ot hang on until their people are ready to let them go. I am so sorry about your loss of your sweet galgo. He was, I am sure welcomed by all the hounds that have passed before and to him it will seem like minutes before you are together again. He lives inside you and will never leave your heart. Sending gentle hugs and greyhound kisses from Chicago. Janice, Luka and Peace. This post made me cry, I could imagine you wispering all the names mentioned in this post to your boy.

9. What a beautiful story. Jazzy did good work and certainly made a difference in the lives of everyone she met.I truly believe there is a reason dog is God spelled backwards. Purest form of love, the love of a dog.
10. I had been wondering about this sweet boy. So happy that Christine is keeping him. I pray this setback can be corrected and he is back to good health. He certainly has had more than his share of challenges in life. It doesn't have seemed to affect his sweet nature. So jealous of everyone who got to meet that boy at GIG. Please keep us posted on this latest issue. Sending gentle hugs to Freddy and Christine.
11. So sorry you lost your sweet pretty girl. I hope you find some comfort in the fact you were with her when she passed. Sending gentle hugs and greyhound kisses- from Janice, Luka and Peace
12. I remember about 17 years ago at my Uncle's funeral the minister talking about his dogs, greyhounds. My Uncle loved dogs. He was telling us how he takes them for walks in the woods off leash. Even back then, years and years before I got my first hound I knew this was not a good thing to do. I should have talked to him about it but I didn't. A while later my Aunt called all upset. One of the greyhounds had chased a deer they came across and was hit by a car and killed. The hounds have never chased anything before. It only takes one time for tragedy to strike. Is it really worth taking a chance?
13. Welcome to Greytalk. This is an amazing site, you will learn so much from everyone. I live on the Southside of Chicago and work with Regap of Illinois as a meet and greet rep. I have two greyhounds; Luka who is 8 and Peace who will be 12 next month. Hope to meet you and your beautiful hound at a local greyhound event. Regap welcomes everyone to participate in meet and greets, the hounds love being with other hounds. Your life will never be the same after bringing a greyhound into your heart and home!

22. I have been using Fresh Factors and Joint Health for about 4 years and am very happy with them. My almost 12 year old Peace does not limp or seem stiff when she gets up from a nap. Great supplements!
23. Oh Freddy! The best part of your journey to your forever home has begun. This is going to be amazing! We are so happy you are well enough to travel and I hope you find car rides are wonderful and you can do the best napping in them. Please be sure to keep writing as you have so many fans, at least until you find your Momma and/or Poppa. They are out there little buddy and they can't wait for you to walk into their life! Hugs and kisses from Chicago- Janice, Luka and Peace
24. What a stunning hound you have!!! Congratulations!!! Your life will never be the same now that you have become a greyhound Mom.You can't help but get passionate about the breed and adoption.
Please consider bringing him to meet and greets. It is a great way to get him comfortable in all situations and with people and other dogs. If GO doesn't have any meet and greets in your area may I suggest that you check out Regap of Illinois and join us at one of ours. We don't care where you adopt, you would be welcomed with open arms and hearts.
Have fun watching him blossom as he gets more comfortable in his new life. Janice, Luka and Peace from the Southside of Chicago.
25. How about giving her coconut oil? I am giving it to my two hounds- one is 7 and one is 11 1/2. Has a lot of good healing properties in it. My Luka has always been a skinny hound- everyone thinks he is right off the track- and since I have added it he is eating more and actually looks better. Start off slow and increase gradually. Mine get a tablespoon a day in the evening. Also, what about Fresh Factors and Longivity from Springtime Natural Supplements. Check out their web site. Good luck with Treasure, I always enjoy reading about her and seeing her pretty face in photos.
