  1. Is anyone giving phytoplankton to their dogs? Watched a talk last night on simplifying raw feeding given by a homeopathic vet just to see if I could get any new ideas and she was strongly in favor of using phytoplankton for EPA/DPA/etc supplementation instead of fish oil for a variety of reasons. It seems promising - pros according to her: it's a whole food, not a supplement, completely environmentally friendly if you get it from the right source, no risk of toxins, & no concerns about rancidity. Basically, it's what the fish eat so you're going straight to the source rather than up the food chain. Seems promising and I'm considering trying it. Would love to hear if anyone has used it and if you have a brand/amount to recommend?
  2. I've noticed many of you supplement with Fresh Factors and I was wondering if any of your greys experienced weight gain from the product. I know that bee pollen can contribute to weight gain and is one of the ingredients. Also after visiting Springtime's web site, looking at the testimonial pictures, most of the dogs look to be very overweight. I'm guessing this has not been an issue since most of you have experienced great results. I am considering trying it with my boy but I am very happy with his weight and was curious if any of you needed to adjust food amounts due to Fresh Factors. Thanks!
