The change of kibble could cause the "Big D" as can "nerves" (being in a new environment). I just got Burdette 3 weeks ago and he is finally starting to firm-up .
Lorinda, Hoping the pain meds are helping Power and that you hear from OSU soon. Sending prayers and good thoughts out to you. :hope
Kelsey is suited up too.
Kelsey seems to be doing very well with the drops. The redness is down and the cloudy spot seems smaller too . iI usually take her out in the early am, late afternoon/early evening and before bed. I still want to find a hat for her - something like a ball cap. Any ideas??
Robin, I'm so sorry to hear that Phene has gone to the bridge. He will be in good company there. I am glad I had the opportunity to meet him, Treasure and you at GIG.

Thanks for your input . It doesn't seem to bother Kelsey at all - no itching or squinting. i don't think she would wear doggles either but hats......maybe I'll try to find a nice ballcap for her.
Went to the vet. ophthalmologist at Red Bank today and the diagnosis is confirmed - Pannus. He did say we caught it early and prescribed prednisolone eye drops and said prognosis is excellent that it won't get worse. It doesn't bother Kelsey in the least .
Besides the drops and bringing her back for a recheck in a month is there anything anyone else does for their hounds? I did check past posts and looked up greyhound articles on it that say not to expose to direct sunlight.
What are your experiences with this condition?
Robin - Just seeing this now. Cancer s*cks!! I'll be keeping you, Phene and Treasure in my thoughts and prayers
It ws such a pleasure meeting them both (and you of course ) at GIG.
