  3. My beloved Sterling went, unexpectedly, to the Bridge on Thurs morning . He passed away in his sleep very peacefully. I just wanted to post a couple of pics of my boy. Loved his ears in this one Running in the park He always lved to lay down in the water at the beach . Sterling, You are missed so very much .
  4. Dee, Lass was truly a wonderful girl and is now running painfree at the Bridge with all those who have passed in our lives. Please give ArchE and Mindy extra hugs and kisses from me. For you :f_red
  5. It is with a heavy heart and teary eyes to let you know that my beloved Sterling died in his sleep very early this morning. We will miss him terribly. Mimi and Kelsey
  6. My Tasha was euthanized at home. My vet also arrainged for the crematory people to pick her up around the same time. It was very peaceful and loving. My sister and BIL were with me. Fritz was lying on the couch and did not seem bothered at all by the proceedings. I really appreciated her (my Vet) for coming to my house on her way to the office. We were all teary eyed.
  7. Got the hounds to the vet today. Kelsey is over her Big D and has a referral for a vet ophthalmologist about the "cloud" in her eye. Sterling may have a kidney and a tooth infection. His temp is 102.2 and he is down to 68 lbs. (He is normally about 78 lbs. but hasn't been eating). His urine (drawn by catheter) was greenish and vet said that shows some blood in it. She took blood and the urine for testing and should know more tomorrow. He had sub-cu fluids for dehydration, 2 shots of antibioticsand a shot of Pepcid for his nausea. He was a little perkier coming home. I'm to give him 1 -1/2 tabs of pepcid twice a day starting tomorrow. He does have gingivitis too but has mucus in his nose which the vet said may indicate a sinus infection caused by his bad canines. We can't schedule a dental until he is feeling better and gets his weight up a little. Will update as we know more.
  8. No advice Brie - just hoping Doolin will be feeling better soon. :hope
  9. Last Thurs I noticed that Kelsey had a "cloud" in her eye so I made an appt with our vet for Tues . This weekend she has had the Big D but is active, eating and being her nutty self. I've been giving her rice but i know some people will give Imodium. What dosage would I give for a 60 lb. pup? Sterling isn't feeling at all well. He tripped on the stairs going out on Fri and skinned his leg. He is not eating and looks alittle thinner, has no energy (but will move from bed to bed) and this morning notice some mucus in his nose (not the clear drips). I will be taking him in to the vet tomorrow. We just need some good thoughts and prayers for my pups.

  16. No experience - just hoping the vet can find out what is happening. Hugs and scritches to Ava and you ,
  17. Sterling had 12 teeth out last August. Didn't feel like eating when I brought him home so I just let him sleep with a towel under his head. He did have bloody drool for a day or two but was fine after that. For the blood around his mouth I used peroxide to clean him up - works well. Hugs and gentle skritches to your girl.
  18. Gracie, Hoping you have a speedy recovery and will be up doing zoomies in no time. Also hoping the tests come back B9.
  19. Hugs to you and Doolin. Hoping he feels better soon.
  20. Sterling had to have about 4" amputated when a cut on the end didn't heal properly. He did very well with it. Only "problem" was keeping an eye on the bandage afterwards (especially when he was wagging it ). Bandage was changed at the vets about every week for 3 to 4 weeks. Also, luckily, he didn't bother the bandage much. Best of luck to Addison and welcome to the short-tail club .
  21. Sending out good thoughts for Miss Nedra tomorrow for an uneventful surgery and quick healing.

  23. Deb, just reading this. Glad to hear Daisy is doing well but its very frustrating not to know the cause in order to prevent it happening again. Sending hugs and nose kisses to your girl.
