  1. Norty ruuuuuude spider for biting Valentino Get better soon, handsome boy
  2. Joining the chant for a nice, silly little lump of nothing at all
  3. When Maddison had bone cancer (fibrosarcoma) amputation wasn't an option due to the location of the tumour. We let him do what he wanted to do. It is, as has been said, a case of balancing the risk against the pleasure they get and as Maddison was a four year old, otherwise 'healthy' boy, we knew it would be wrong (for him) to limit what he did so we let him run and we held our breath. Ironically, on the final night, he hurt his leg just by changing position on the settee. Best wishes to you and to Lewis
  4. Remembering Iberia with you
  5. I'm very sorry Sleep tight, Bear
  6. Baby steps are good steps Keep getting better Beau
  7. Sally left on 15th February Stanley left on 8th May Wallace followed on 2nd December And Radar went to be with them on 4th December All very much loved and missed and will all be remembered with great fondness and many smiles
  8. I too am sorry that you find yourself in the dreaded Club. Darcy (Deerhound) started her chemo after the biopsy results. It was actually about 21 days after her amputation I think. We did carboplatin, doxorubicin, carboplatin, doxorubicin, three weeks apart. (Darcy had her diagnosis and amputation on the 16th of October 2007 so we are 14 months and 2 days along). Best wishes to Ranger and to you
  9. I am so sorry You have to do what you feel is most suitable for you and your boy. Wishing you both lots days of fun, treats and kisses
  10. I honestly don't remember what it was like with Maddison (his was a rear leg and that turned out to be fibrosarcoma rather than osteo) but he was the same sort of age (sorry to say that). I'd just insist upon immediate xrays now for Opal. Chances are, its something other than the dreaded unmentionable but at least you'll be able to stop worrying and also be able to get whatever it is, fixed
  11. way two gowwwwwwww winz-lowwwwwww dar-sea xx
  12. This is such a b&st&rd disease I'm so sorry Nancy
  13. I told ya! I said she'd be back to walking her normal route! Merry Christmas to you all
  14. I'm so sorry to hear of this possible diagnosis for Lewis. It makes my stomach turn over when I read a post like this because I can quite clearly remember the feelings of shock and horror and turmoil. I am also in agreement with the above. Darcy had no limp AT ALL and the first we knew of a problem was when she walked across the room, screamed and held up her front right paw. She was xrayed within hours and amputated that same day, on the basis of the xrays alone. Osteo was confirmed afterwards. Not all dogs and their people are candidates for amputation but if you and your vet think that Lewis is a candidate, time really and truly is of the essence. I wish you and Lewis lots of love and luck and Darcy (14 months post amp) sends Lewis a kiss from over the ocean
  15. When the biscuits arrive, please give him TWO rather than one, for 12 days, to make up for this human oversight. I thank you.
  16. I'm sorry to hear of the diagnosis I hope you can get a suitable appointment very soon
  17. Yes, take pictures nowwwwwwwwwwwwww
  18. I'm very glad to hear that it's not (yacky) related and hopefully, she can be helped with simple medication. And then, one final chemo and as you said, back to annual checkups
