  1. She is pain free without that leg, and you will not have to worry about a spontaneous break.
  2. She may not be able to f Go on as long of walks as before. It takes a lot more work to get around. Also, healing suture lines pull and pinch, so definitely she could cry with that.
  3. Hold on, it's gets better. When you see her running around as a tripod with a big grin on her face these two weeks will fade into oblivion.
  4. She sounds like she right on schedule. Keep chanting 2 weeks.
  5. The first two weeks are the hardest and you'll probably doubt your decision lots. Hang in there, it gets better.
  6. NICE PIX, Ducky! I love the one you got of my girls running! That's so awesome.
  7. So does sunny and 80 work, Trish?
  8. I'm so sorry. He's the half brother of my Bridge girl Emma, who left late last year. Flying Penske was her dad.
  9. You know what sometimes works for me with an agonizing decision? Flip a coin. No the coin flip doesn't make the decision. While it's flipping in the air what are you hoping it lands on? That's your answer.
  10. I went the front amp and chemo route. They didn't need pain meds once recovered from surgery. About 2 weeks. Both girls started showing pain in the rear end. Xrays showed osteo on different bones. J7st remember, whatever choice you make it's out of love. So there is no wrong decision.
  11. I got 6 months pain free from my happy, happy 12 year old, and 14 months from my 9 year old. I wouldn't trade that time for anything. And the thing is, when they do go downhill there's no second guessing.
  12. I've never foster failed, but have owned and fostered many. Never had an issue. But I did take precautions like muzzling and/or crating when needed, Feeding separately until I knew the Foster's personality. And the fosters generally had to be taught manners, maybe housebreaking, stairs, glass doors. Congrats on fostering. Are you in the UK or Australia? Curious since your group is overflowing with greys. Not something you hear nowadays in the US.
  13. They say with time we will remember them with a smile. I haven't found that to be true. My heart still aches for all mine too.
  14. I really don't like the Eisenhower, but am an extremely light sleeper. I found staying in town too noisy. So I bit the bullet and am staying at the Eisenhower.
  15. I canceled last minute last year. Maybe this year I can make it.
  16. Depends on the dog. Some will love it, some will be anxious. You know your dog. Do they love rides and just want to be with you? Or are they homebodies?
  17. My vet says that the newest evidence shows tramadol doesn't work in dogs. But the good news is gabapentin can really be upped. I'm sorry for your news. I've lost 2 to OS. Sucks!
