My own hound is technically a longdog (Greyhound x Whippet x Saluki) but I am so obsessed with greys so I don't think it matters too much. I volunteer as a walker for my local rescue, and I am applying to work as a member of staff there as well. My dog is 14 on July 4th 2017, but is doing quite well and is healthy. JohnF Posted May 24, 2017 Share Posted May 24, 2017 Hi, and welcome to the Greytalk board. He is ageing most handsomely indeed! My last one was a Lurcher/longdog/grey mix too. A little more robust than most greys she was, and made it to 14. It is good to know that you'll offer your home to another hound when the time comes around. In the meantime enjoy every precious day.
