They have liked a wide variety of other fruits and veg too. Also, if you are a sighthound you have to keep your sight in tip top condition, and if it was good enough for fighter pilots then it's good enough for greyhounds! But in order to keep their radar program secret during WWII, the British military claimed their pilots had excellent eyesight (and could see Nazi planes coming) because they ate a lot of carrots! And he IS so cute. It's hard to say no to his big eyes this morning taught us that he likes APPLES! Before he saw Spud eating carrots like they were manna from heaven, he would merely sniff and walk away. Now he eats them with nearly the enthusiasm of ice cubes! We give them to her as a treat after we brush her teeth... we've been so consistent that she gets super excited whenever we finish with the brush and go to the fridge to grab a couple We buy those big bulk bags at Costco.
