I know you and your family will shower your girl with love. Definitely ask your vet about adding gabapentin to help with pain control. The tramadol tablets have a bitter taste - make sure they are completely buried or covered in whatever food you use. Will be keeping you all in our thoughts. mimosasmom Posted January 29, 2014 Author Share Posted January 29, 2014 Thanks everyone. I am holding off on telling my kids (who are 14 and 21, but they will be crushed). My 14 year old has a big test tomorrow. She is studying, and I need to let her concentrate on that. My son is in class tonight. We will probably tell them tomorrow night. Mimosa is doing OK. My hubby said she had a nice walk with the other 2 dogs, and put weight on the foot. She has been getting extra chicken and cheese for her pain meds, and sleeping. She is putting more weight on the affected leg. She roaches a lot! And she remains her usual perky self and she loves her treats and walks!
